The doctor and clinic in my opinion are too aggressive in pushing health care services. This includes having me come in for a follow-up PSA test after only 90 days, having me see a Urologist which turned out to be completely unnecessary and calling me up on the phone, telling me the doctor wants to monitor my blood pressure remotely which was totally inappropriate since I am perfectly capable of taking my own blood pressure. "They can't text, only call." I am not available to call. I usually miss the phone 90% of the time. I am working. I can't pick up the phone and answer.
Dr. Maoury is great, as are the nurses. The front staff is a mixed bag. One of them, in particular - Penny - makes every exchange feel like pulling teeth. You never leave with a good feeling after interacting with her. I guess for staff, this is no big deal. But for patients, it is. Five stars for Maoury and the nurses, minus one for Penny.
Arrived early for scheduled appointment. . Had answered all pre-checkin questions online. Was recieved early . Saw Dr. and was on my way within 20 minutes.
Dr. Hamid is my primary care provider. Each time I see her, I am so impressed with her thoroughness, competency, and bedside manner. She makes sure I understand the reasons for any needed treatments or testing, and I always feel comfortable asking questions. I would recommend Dr. Hamid to anyone who is looking for quality and evidence-based primary care.
