I tried to schedule an appointment to have my hand evaluated, and the very first question I was asked was what insurance I had. I explained that I am self-pay, and I was then told, “We are not accepting self-pay at this time.” I’m having a hard time understanding why my insurance status should determine whether I can receive an appointment.
