This is a nice park, and the rock formations are beautiful. One can certainly see why people would have taken shelter in this area. However... there are VERY few pictographs that can actually be seen any more, like 3 or 4. They have naturally faded over time. While we're not mad we stopped, it was pretty disappointing.
What a great find. Very helpful staff. To sad that most of the glyphs are gone. But you can still see some.
Quite a bit of walking and not much reward. You can barely make out some of the red marks and they can't be that old because they are rifles. So if you just already a different hike, really geek out on this type of thing, or are studying... Then by all means. And I do not mean to downplay its cultural significance, it's important to preserve and study, but compared to other sites in AZ or NM.
It was beautiful but unfortunately there were very few pictographs to see.
