I visited this shop for what I believed was a simple dress alteration. Instead of discussing the alteration or providing a quote, I was told that it was easy enough for me to do myself. The tailor started explaining how to sew it on my own and, when I asked how much she would charge to do it, she told me she wasn’t going to do it because she wanted me to do it myself.
