I am saddened to leave this poor review, since this was my fav restaurant a couple of years ago. I had my two Italian best friends fly in for one of their bdays, and I chose this restaurant, remembering the charm, the family feeling environment, and delicious homemade pasta. How things change....the place was worn and dirty. Each appetizer, salad a entree was fair at best. Lovely. We had an excellent experience from the time we walked in to the time we called it a night. The service was welcoming and friendly and exactly what the restaurant's name describes. Our dishes of Lasagne Alla Bolognese, Linguine Alle Vongole, and Cioppino were excellent. The Romanesque artichoke hearts were amazing. Add in a lovely wine and too many desserts and the evening was sublime and just what we needed after a long day. Our server, Rodrigo (?), was excellent and made the experience all that much better.
Fuimos un domingo por la tarde sin reservación y aun así nos atendieron súper bien. El servicio fue amable y rápido. De entrada pedimos calamares fritos: doraditos, crujientes por fuera y suaves por dentro, con un toque de limón. La pasta Alfredo estaba cremosa y en su punto. La ensalada César muy fresca, con crutones crujientes, queso parmesano y aderezo ligero. My sister recommended this place to me with high praise. I ordered the Taglierini Neri Ai Frutti Di Mare, and I have to say it was one of the best pasta dishes I've had. The sauce was so good that I saved some bread to wipe the plate clean. I don't want to over sell it but the food and service here was great.
Food was amazing! Environment was amazing! The waiter was amazing!
