I was a 78 yr old patient in the ER laying in the hallway and heard screaming. "Lay down " Security came rushing by my bed. My husband and I heard later someone had overdosed and was violently kicking,hitting and spitting on the ER staff. This was terrifying to listen to because we didn't know what was going to happen and we didn't feel safe. Did the person have a weapon? Was hospital security armed?
