1980, when John Phillips was a councilor. I worked for N.J Bell Telephone. Suffering from depression and on several medications from a quack doctor, my general manager drove me to Fair Oaks and signed me in. Staff concluded I was close to death from the medications and my friends taking me out drinking trying to cheer me up. I survived and retired from Verizon( former NJ Bell Tel) in 2000.
The staff is rude, they are overpriced and very misleading. When I brought my daughter to this place I wasn't explained what services they provided. I was under the impression that they had individual care. After 2 day I found out that for 4-5 hours a day all she did was play Uno and color (she's 16). I took her out and ten got a bill for $3600.00. that's a high price to color and play cards. And this is what they call individual treatment.
St Mary’s rehabilitation has been a good place for me to get great care for my rehabilitation. The staff is kind and friendly. Working with my Physical Therapist (Kristen) has been a huge help for me to feel better and keeps me moving with less pain. Great place and very helpful!
Over 3 hours for an intake process and it's still not completed?! Why the hell would you do an intake process that long at 9 pm for a minor??
Warning! Avoid! You are just a body there. No respect. Lack of communication. Negligent. Unprofessional. Rude. This is not the place for recovery. Nothing therapeutic going on there. Should be shut down!
My son felt safe and comfortable at Rockford. Sometimes it is hard to get a hold of loved on floor. But usually no issues getting in touch. Sean K. a social worker there is excellent. No one wants to put their child in a place like this but if you have to you can do worse than Rockford. Loved one will at least be safe while you figure out what to do next with their treatment.
