Was a great doctor till he gave 2 medications causing hives and Erythema Malforme 2, for 18 months. I told him I had problems with those medications, he chose not to listen. He Turned nasty and cold hearted and left my HHC office and me without help and he was replaced.
My son Lucas & I were patients of Dr. Lecce in the 1980s to early 90s. His levels of caring, empathy & discernment were outstanding. He helped to save my son's life.
I had a great experience with Dr. Doerwaldt. Found him to be intelligent, interested, thoughtful, and a great listener. Explained my condition well, and gave me options. Took the time to understand my condition. I would have no hesitation in going back to him or recommending him to friends and family. I come from a medical family and have met many MD's over the course of my 70 or so years. In my opinion, he is one of the best.
Worst doctor I ever had. ZERO bedside manner, ignored my problems, was rude and arrogant. Now I am much worse off due to his non-care.
This is the worst review on someone I've ever left, and I only leave reviews when someone deserves it... and this is well warranted. This person is the most unprofessional, judgmental, rude doctor I've ever experienced, and this isn't even about me. She treated my girlfriend multiple times and each visit was more of a nightmare than the last. i was with dr. doerwaldt when he was with a community health center in new london. when he told me he was leaving i was so disappointed . He was the best dr. i have ever had. After being left with an APRN for a few years I dicided to go back to Dr. Doerwaldt even though it was a little bit of a distance. A great dr. is so worth the extra drive.
He has all the attributes you would want in a primary care doctor. Trust him to manage all my physical health needs. Compassionate, professional and thorough. So relieved to have found him this year especially.

I love this man. He is thorough and understanding. I love his dry sense of humor. He has helped me with all my illnesses and never judges. He is an angel on Earth. Always compassionate and caring.
