History Established in 1979. It was a dark and stormy night in 1979 when Leesburg Photography went down the tubes, taking Neil and KD's gainful employment with it. Neil and KD had to decide to either get real jobs or go into business for themselves. So in 1979, with borrowed studio space, borrowed equipment, and a $50.00 per month space at 2a Loudoun Street, Photoworks was born. Neil took my last minute call for a private lesson and spent 3 hours with me today at his shop. He is a talented instructor with an extraordinary depth of knowledge and knack for teaching complex principles in an understandable way. It was money well spent, and I highly recommend anyone seeking to expand their photography knowledge base to reach out to Photoworks! Great experience!
A+ work and service! We LOVED working with KD and Neil. They go up and above to deliver excellent service and an amazing product. We had the pleasure of working with them a few months ago to update our teams' head shots for our website. Each picture is crisp, clear, and professional and looks amazing on our new site. I just opened your package and the photograph is wonderful. I love the facial expressions and the gorgeous colors, even the reflection in the sand. I have been anticipating seeing this, and it exceeds what I had envisioned.
I easily give this company five stars. Recently took a few photography lessons at Photoworks. Neil is an excellent teacher who is knowledgable, easy to work with, and generous with his time. A definite recommend.
They are very thorough with their restoration work and treat your photographs like their own. Not the cheapest place, but the work is top notch.
