worth the wait – I've been looking for a new studio/artist to start on a few pieces I have planned, and I've definitely found it. Great customer service – I was recommended to this shop by my friends. And having been tatted before (mostly custom) I know shops are busy and artists have other very extensive custom work that takes alot of time and effort (my custom work took ~3-4 wks to even finish drawing) so I gave them a call prior to showing up to be sure someone would be available for a tat i had in mind. I could have sworn I was in Raleigh and not at LA Ink.... – I have been getting tattoos for over twenty-five years now . I have been fortunate enough to get work done by some amazing artists in different shops all over the world. Fortunately, most of them do not watch LA or Miami Ink and believe their own hype while turning into "Rock Star" artists.... Great – I was a walk in and was very happy to see a receptionist who was willing to help me with what I was asking for. The majority of tattoo shops I've been to, I generally have to guess at who the artist is because no one speaks to me when I walk in. And on top of that to say they aren't the most approachable personalities is an understatement, so Phoenix Tattoo was a nice difference from the rest. Gorgeous first tattoo! – This was my first tattoo, and I really did not know what to except. I went to the Phoenix establishment on a Wednesday and took the appointment for the coming Friday. I had designed the tattoo myself, and the lady at the counter asked me to give her a true-size picture of the tattoo. I had brought a couple of true-size print outs with me, so that was not a problem. I was told to pay a deposit of $50, and was told that the tat would cost $100. 2nd Tattoo – Just got my 2nd tattoo done with Phoenix. I'd heard good things so asked them to draw something up. I was Matt Kerley. He did a great job with the art work and that tattoo turned out better than I expected. I couldn't have asked for a better turnout. I would definitely go back.

The Matts – My daughter had been wanting a tattoo since she was 12. I also had always considered getting one, just couldn't decide what I wanted. When she turned 18 we drew up a couple of things and went over to the shop to see what they could come up with. We made appointments with the Matts and are SO happy with the results. We both feel our tattoos far exceeded what we had in mind. Don't go anywhere else. Awesome gal at the front desk, the Matts were super friendly and made our first time experience the best.

Great shop – I got my 3rd tattoo here from Colby. Really professional and does amazing work. I showed up with vague instructions and one picture and he drew exactly what I saw in my head. Very open to suggestions and is very helpful. I was able to get my tattoo just before I left for the Army (I went in on Tuesday and was able to get it done by the weekend). Amazing art by Steve. – I was looking to get a dog portrait tattoo, had always heard good things about Phoenix so looked at their website and was immediately impressed by the painterly style of Steve's work. I went to the shop and made an appointment for a consult with Steve, we discussed the portrait and some other ideas for expanding a vine I already had on the same arm into a sleeve.
