Great place to catch a live show with a really good sound system and polite, prompt wait staff and a great selection of beers on tap. The chili and sweet potato fries are top notch.

We were told it would take a half hour for our food. No big deal. However, it took about an hour and 15 minutes. When we asked about it, we didn't get an apology, just a simple shrug and an, "oh." After an hour, we were told that we were one of 4 tickets waiting for our food. Well, we were somehow the last of the 4 tickets. Food came with no apology, no thanks for waiting, nothing. The service was plain horrible. Also, my husband's cream soda had expired 3 days before they served it to him.

Great spot in a really special small Texas town. Don't pass up the chili and cornbread!!!! A real step back in time.

My second trip to the Phoenix Saloon..........the chili is excellent and of course the Dos Equis is ice cold!! Born and raised in New Braunfels and left in 1969 but now coming back to visit the Phoenix is a must stop for lunch and relaxation with family!!

First time at The Phoenix Saloon with some friends to hear "All Mixed Up" perform. It was a cold Sunday afternoon and the chili hit the spot, great beer selection, friendly atmosphere, and the band was awesome! Made some new friends and will definitely be back soon. See you New Years Day and start 2017 the right way!

Let me start by saying this was our first time at The Phoenix. We were told by friends that the burgers are the best in town. We ordered 2 Phoenix cheese burgers with fries and a Blue burger with chips. We also tried 2 small chilis. The chili was excellent as were the fries. All 3 burgers lacked flavor, were dry and over cooked. The couple that sat next to us could be heard complaining to each other about their burgers. They left half their burgers behind. The staff was great. We're not done with the Phoenix though. We must ... read more
