Great job Drew! What an amazing and informative presentation for the Regional Epidemiology Workgroup meeting at The Council on Recovery. Thank you for breaking down addiction, effects on the brain, and the importance of implementing empathy.
When Drew discussed the neuroscience behind issues with substance use at our meeting, he presented it in a way that all audience members could pretty easily understand. When we better understand the science behind substance use disorders, it can greatly increase empathy & decrease stigma of those who are struggling in recovery. Very insightful!

I was admitted here about 6 and half years ago. I was 17 yrs old. I found this place personally with tensions from the courts to get help. I went in not really caring and just decided to play the part. I enjoyed everything about this program. I mean it’s not easy. I took some valuable skills and some unnecessary things.
