I would rate Dr. McAlister’s surgical skills as 5 star and his staff is also 5 star for their friendliness and helpfulness during the pre & post surgery process. My only complaint about Phoenix Foot & Ankle is that no one notified my wife after the surgery was complete to let her know how it had gone. The only way I found out anything about whether my surgery had gone well or not was during my follow up visit two weeks after surgery. There should be in my opinion be better communication with the patient and family after surg... read more

I couldn't be happier with my results! My ATFL and CFL were ruptured, and after meeting with 5 surgeons, I chose Dr. Mcalister, because of his extensive experience (and fellowship), and his recommended technique. Specifically, he recommended a Chrisman-Snook procedure using allograft tendon, which (in my understanding) is more robust than a Brostrom repair alone. During the surgery, he ended up doing a Brostrom in additional to the Chrisman, to pull all the remaining fragments together with the allograft for extra reinforcem... read more
