I have found this facility to be the best one I have been to. (I've been to six others) Some positive: The staff is generally kind, open, cooperative and accommodating. They give multiple opportunity to stay if you break your contract. The music program is absolutely amazing run by an incredible person. They have art therapy. They celebrate holidays and the food is really good. Prem is awesome. Opportunity to go on walks. Can leave the premises with other clients to go to the store or gas station. Nice comfortable facility. But the counseling isn't great. The most willing individuals are ignored and the most unwilling are catered to.(as well as those who have been in and out a few times which is whole other level of favourtism). It could be great, but it sure wasn't there when I left.

I enrolled in the exclusive (men's only) stabilization program offer by the Pheonix Society (in Surrey) as a precursor to King Haven treatment center in Abbotsford. Turned out to be one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life, to save my life. Thank you Pheonix! With tears in my eyes, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
