I usually like Phoenix Dessert, and this San Diego location was amazing. I love their black sticky rice with young coconut it’s so fragrant, soft, and perfectly sweet , $5.95 was very affordable . The black sesame dessert was a bit firmer than I prefer, but still was delicious. This is such a cool spot with so many food and dessert options. Phoenix doesn’t just sell desserts, they also have hot foods, cold dish, street food, tea and drinks. Their desserts are in the display window, some milk teas are bottled, some are made on the spot. We ordered: Fresh durian delight drink Braised pork belly Durian rolls Custard platter Bottled milk tea Bottled soy milk No complaints on the food or desserts. Hot foods remind me of home cooking.
