Waited 3 hours to be seen by the doctor for 2 minutes with an empty lobby when arriving. Employees were nice but system needs help.
My son broke his leg I brought him here. We had a pretty good experience. I asked for an ice pack and pain meds right away and that’s the first thing they did. So they heard my concerns and worked with us pretty well. The only thing I didn’t like is they had a limit of one person with the child at a time so me and dad had to alternate. All the staff was very kind and professional answered all my questions. When I called to make an appt for my son I provided my insurance info. I was told the next appt wasn't until next year. They were able to call me when they had a cancelation. I again provided my insurance info at the appt.Appt was emd of July. I later received a bill for over $1,000 . I called to advise them and provide them the insurance info a 3rd time. I received a call today 9/25 asking how I wanted to pay for my $1,000 bill that was not run insurance. Then they changed their story saying they cant find my son in the ins... read more
I would advise against visiting the allergist office at this Specialty Center. We were charged (before insurance) about 20x what a dermatologist office would charge for skin prick testing. Luckily our insurance negotiated a lower rate, but our final bill is still about 8x what a dermatologist (or allergist not associated with Phx Children's) would charge. It is unfortunate because we really liked our provider until we received this surprising bill, and now will need to find a new allergist. Having allergy testing done before... read more
brought my daughter in for off and on knee issue from playing softball. The athletic trainer came in and spoke with her and to her like you would speak to an athlete. Then Dr Hall came in and spoke to her the same way. Asked her what she was looking forward to so we could build a timeline around a big tournament. As a former collegiate athlete myself, I was highly impressed by the way they handled my daughter and now non-invasive they were.
