Love the concept of Philz of just different type of roasted drip coffee plus cream. But the coffee mojito is what I keep coming back for.
I like this location. It's designed well to handle flow of people from doors at both ends of the store and not feel crowded. It being my first time in a long long time, the barista was really patient and helpful in taking my order. With her suggestions I got a drink that was pretty good. Definitely will come back.
Large seating area and yummy coffee; unfortunately the reheated pastries and breakfast burritos are mid. E.g. a morning roll shouldn’t be dried out at 6:30 am
I’ve usually had good experiences at Philz, but unfortunately my coffee today tasted really bitter and just wasn’t good. I normally wouldn’t go back, but I ended up returning to have it remade. I also wish the service felt a little friendlier. A simple hello when someone walks up, or a “you’re welcome” when a customer says thank you, goes a long way. It seems like places around the Bay Area have been feeling less friendly lately, and a little warmth really makes a difference. Hopefully today was just an off day!
