BBQ People love this place - the line is the proof! San Diego needs more BBQ places.
Phil's BBQ Good BBQ but not worth the wait in line.
BBQ in PT Loma YUMMY! Finally I get to taste this Bar B Q, only reason I never had the chance was the line was always a nuisance, toooooooooooo long, and I have had to end up eating in the horrible chinese restaurant near by just so that I wont pass out! I thought about doing a 4 star rating for the long lines , but no the food is to die for, so I kept it at a 5 star!
bus boy I had a wonderful time @ Phil's for my Birthday back in Sep. The food was great & their service was excellent. We decided to have my friends Birthday Party since we all enjoyed it. GINA & RAFAEL were soooooo helpful. They should be recognized for their excellent service. They sang to my friend & she enyoyed it very much. They also were very efficient with removing the plates that were not needed. We sure will be back shortly! Thanks a lot Jenet
Amazing BBQ! This San Diego to join has to be one of the best barbecue places I have ever ate at. I know it's extremely popular in the area because of the hour-long wait that we had just to get in the door.
Amazing and worth the wait! Amazing BBQ, pulled pork sandwich is terrific. Ribs are to die for and all the sides are terrific. Always super busy but worth the wait time. Sometimes the lines is around the building but it is still worth the wait.
L.Colon Awesome ribs everytime. Don't let the line scare you, it moves really quick and is totally, so worth the wait!! Sounds like ribs tonight!
Doesn't get any better.... There's a reason why the wait in line is so long at Phil's. IT'S THAT DAMN GOOD. I had the pleasure of working very close by for a year and oh how I miss those days, for Phil's alone. And I mean it. That was the only glimmer of happiness working in the area. And ok, I know this is a little off the wall but they have Fresca on the soda machine! Icing on the cake.
Best BBQ in town Great atmosphere, amazing BBQ, wonderful service. Broham is one of the best items on the menu. Avoid lunch hour if possible if you are on a time crunch... line is usually out the door, although it does move fast.
