I've been an attorney and practiced law in Hampton Roads since 2002. When I faced my own family issues, I looked to my colleague and friend, Corrynn Peters, for help. She has been a Godsend! She is not only incredibly bright and diligent, but she also understands the judicial system well and will be honest with you. She and Kim have had a variety of experiences that give them invaluable insight and understanding.
What I personally witnessed in court was Ms Peters in a hearing. She snickered and gave dirty looks to one party and smiled at the other. A neutral GAL I do not think so. I have not witnessed many custody hearings but I was so shocked to see the level of disrespect! If this name pops up as someone representing a child you know RUN! Get another one! You will thank your self for steering clear!
Please do not ever use this attorneys office! Our personal experience with her over a year and a half was terrible! Ms. Peters is extremely unprofessional, manipulative, and dishonest. In our case, she never gave our family (the family that took care of our nephew for the first 5 years of his life solely on our own because his father refused to be responsible) any consideration. Hands down, the best experience working with a lawyer and their staff. Kim Phillips was amazing to work with as well as her team and the entire office are top notch! I would highly recommend them to anyone!
