After a week of luxury trips to fantastic seafood buffets(Bonfire, Embers/BLU, etc) we came here with great expectations. Phillips is a name brand! This place was absolutely terrible. The buffet was scattered and unorganized. Really, who puts desserts I between the prime rib and the beginning of the fried seafoods? The fried foods(calamari, clam strips, pollock) were all stale and basically cold. The blue crabs were super small. The crab leg bunches were missing appendages. Everything was a mess. This place is more about volume than quality and caters to that niche ... and judging by the many plates at other tables they are meeting and exceeding that expectation. The buffet is not optimized for traffic flow and the results are long lines for OK food. Probably won't do it again, I simply do not eat enough to to make it worth the price. Don't mind $30+ for good food, but...
For a buffet at the price they charge its a great deal. Pick the best things and enjoy. Will be eating there this Friday.

It was excellent the crab legs were plentiful. You could have pasta prepared your way with any seafood. The food on the buffet is great and the servers are nice! Nice stop if your in O.C.
