There was nothing to like about the place. Looked old and outdated and dim and dirty. The food is not good and was barely warm. By the time I sat back down with my food it would be cold. They don't offer as many options as The Embers for the same price. The server behind the line looked annoyed to be serving you food. The buffet area is so narrow and crowded that you constantly bump into people because it's set up like a cattle herding lane. Our waitress was non-existent. But it was way too crowded...there's not enough room for alot of people in Phillips in Ocean City on 21st....Service and food was excellent though...
Was not impressed. The shrimp was spongy. Crab legs barely had any meat in them. Shrimp and Crab legs were over cooked. Dessert wasn't great either.
All you can eat buffet, the food is above average which is a good thing because most buffets your getting below average food. Don't go here for regular Maryland crabs though! Many other better places do that ALOT better in OC (On the Bay, Crab Bag, Belly Busters). (snow crabs are great here though) but they offer many other great buffet options like the snow crab, calms, many different fish types, prime rib, etc. I had awesome service here as well, above and beyond. I have been going to Phillips since the 60's. I had the privilege and great pleasure of taking my wife to the buffet a few years ago.. I was so happy, I ate like I never had crabs before.. at $32 per person (ok, it was a while ago), I definitely got my money's worth. Definitely will do it again, from Cherry Hill, NJ
