Please do not ever use this dermatologist. The receptionists are unprofessional, rude and nasty. They snicker behind the desk and ignore patients as they chat with each other. I actually can’t believe patients still go there particularly because it’s located in White Plains. The dermatologist Dr Fried gave my daughter some medication that his company, West Derm Center created and instead of the hair growing on her scalp, it grew everywhere else so she looks like a werewolf. I’ve been goin to Dr. Fried for years. His office is slow but he has never failed me yet. Really a great doctor
Dr. Fried is great but his staff, office, and patient correspondence system is abysmal. I’ve somehow waiting 2 weeks and counting for the pharmacy to receive approval from the office for a necessary prescription refill. There is no reason such a professional should have such consistently badly run office.
Went to his Yonkers' office, only to be told he was running 30-45 late and that I could reschedule. Rescheduled for morning appointment (10AM) at his Mamaroneck office. I arrived (9:45) into a waiting room of 12 people. At 10:20 I was told that the doctor was still not there. When I mentioned that this lateness was disrespectful to his patients I was told, "You should say that to him!" I left, and will find another doctor.
Stay away! After confirming over the phone that they had my referral, waited for 15min (after my appt time), was told no referral. Dr Fried refused to speak to me. Many patients with same appt time waiting in waiting room. Chaotic, dis-organized and nasty staff (and Dr) except for hispanic receptionis who was very nice
Dr. Fried listens carefully and establishes a good relationship with his patient. He does not rush the visit and answers all questions. He provides detailed information for home and follow-up.
Not interested in the patient, just the money he can shake out of your pocket.
