Dr Blazar is very personable, saw me promptly, has many years of experience, and his clinical explanations for my hand pain (CMC disease) were very clear. He enabled me to obtain hand braces the same day, which I much appreciate since I come from a distance. If conservative treatment does not work, I feel very comfortable going to the next steps with Dr Blazar.
Dr. Blazer was amazing. Double joint replacements. Very professional and just an all round nice guy. Extremely knowledgeable. He was honest about my recovery being very difficult. I would highly recommend him
Dr Blazar seems to have done an okay job on my wrist surgery. What is a disaster is his organizational skills. Yesterday I had a 9:45 AM Post-Op appointment. I arrived, checked in and they brought me to an appmt room. I waited 45 mins, no Doctor, and stepped out of the room asking if I had been forgotten. I was assured that he would be in shortly. 45 mins later --- total 1 hour 30 mins --- still no Doctor. I finally just left. If you want service try elsewhere.
I have Dupuytren's Contracture and have been extremely satisfied with Doctor Blazers treatment before, during, and after multiple procedures. His professional approach, willingness to discuss and listen to concerns regarding the procedure, and the results were better than I would have expected based on 4 previous surgeries (Partial Fasciectomies) by other doctor's. I highly recommend Doctor Blazer for any hand surgery, especially those requiring a high degree of skill.
I chose Dr. Blazar for carpel tunnel release because of his high recommendations. I'm sure that he is a skilled surgeon, worthy of those recommendations. However, my outcome was not favorable. During my surgery, he inadvertently cut my artery. What was supposed to be a 30 min surgery turned into 2 hrs. What was supposed to be quick recovery became 5 months of horrible pain. When asked to explain what happened, he was very forthright, and I was very gracious. But an apology would have been nice.
