Call first before you make a trip!! Last week Monday I called the office to find out when I could come in. They said weekdays before 4pm. I show up Friday at 12:30pm. Permit Office is closed. I go to the violations office across the street to ask about the permit office. A woman tells me “yeah, they closed early today”. No explanation, not a holiday, just closed 3.5 hours early. *UPDATE*: the week after the above I called first (same day) to make sure they’d be there. I was in and out in 15 min. Staff was kind and helpful.

I came here 1/27/26 at 9am PPA has a sign saying offices are open after 1/26 between 8:30am-5pm… the front door is unlocked.. which is how I got inside.. But nobody is there.. waited 30mins, shouted around for someone to come to the front.. and called the # on my notice, which leads me to an office in Seattle… Called the # for PPA listed on google but it doesn’t lead to a real person, only an automated robot Posting this as proof so I don’t get hit with a late fee

This falls FARRRR below the lowest possible rating The PPA is one of the most predatory and openly exploitative organizations I have ever dealt with. In my experience, this agency exists to extract as much money from people as possible, not to serve the public. It is abusive, unaccountable, and completely detached from any real sense of cooperation or civic duty.
