When admitted to a behavioral health unit people are generally off judgement wise staff have to enforce the safety of patients both within ourselves and with others. I have been to other places like this. Dr Vaid was kind and Requires minimal restraints both chemically and physically. They really cared about me and came to visit me as I was being admitted! Look for Karen she was spiritually supportive and caring. She’s the best if you have any problems concerning your care talk to her.. thank you Karen.
Go to Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco instead where you are treated with dignity and loving support.
My second stay here was so much worse than my first stay here. This place has gotten so much worse especially after the 2024 elections. I will not be returning here anymore and Northern Westchester Hospital psychiatric in Mount Kisco, NY is my go to hospital for now on because it’s so much more fun, safe, beautiful, and humane.
Horrible do not go there
This psychiatric hospital should be shut down for good, and if I could I would file a law suit against them. I was denied the medication I needed and was put on by my PCP which caused unbelievable and unbearable side effects, and then they prescribed me and forced me to take a medication I was having an adverse reaction to. THEY DO NOT LISTEN. THEY IGNORE COMMUNICATION AND BELIEVE THEY KNOW EVERYTHING, and they don’t know very much. I witnessed patients being held against their will, fighting for their life.
