NOT........for anyone with a pallette – if you want decent food without a stadium atmosphere go to a small semi authentic Asian or Chinese restaurant not a corporate based illusion.....eat well, be well
Pure Fake Chinese – There is nothing remotely Chinese about this food. It is of low quality by any ethnicity you might favor, and it sure isn't Chinese one little bit. A huge disappointment if you are looking for tasty, well prepared dishes. Avoid it.
Go elsewhere or bring your flashlight! – Why wait in line to eat mediocre food and to eat in the dark? The place is loud, the place is dark and the food is tasteless at best. The only it has going for it is the location - Somerset Collections! I went with an older friend and I had to read the menu to him because it was so dark in the restaurant. I sent a message to coporate and they sent a note back indicating that they had recently improved the lighting and that I need to try that location again. I wrote back that I was jus... read more
This gussied-up chain bustles with singles and families craving Chinese food favorites. – In Short Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, oran... read more
It barely gets one star because I couldn't choose no stars – I've only eaten here once and I don't plan on coming back. I've tried the spring rolls (no taste), Kung Pao Chicken (stringy, overdone chicken, tastes like pure soy sauce) and "Spicy Chicken" (which, oddly enough, tastes like spicy soy sauce). The "special sauce" that the waiter tries to dazzle you with is a joke (and vile). You would think the people who dine here were dressed for tea and crumpets at Buckingham Palace, not a pseudo-nu-Asian chain founded by some g... read more
Chain chinese fare because you so trendy – Not bad food. I like the lettuce wraps but make no mistake, this is chain food fare. Because it's located in the "ultra hip" Somerset Collection, I really believe the patrons think that there is something exclusive about PF Changs. PF Changs was brought to you by the same fine folks who have you believing the Olive Garden is authentic Italian. Now if you are willing to wait an hour plus for chain restaurant food, go for it! Otherwise, book a trip to NYC or Chicago or Toronto, visit ... read more
Mixed Rating... Overall, Recommended. – My wife loves the chow-fun. I on the other hand am Asian and think the food is like... expensive imitation Chinese fast food.... Honestly, I don't think the food is that bad, and my wife loves the place.. so I will give it a shaky thumbs up. I say this with my wife looming behind me...
suckers' paradise... – first of all, the definition of a bistro is 'small or unpretentious restaurant'. that is the complete opposite of PF Changs. prices are high and the environment is ritzy. yea, this place is packed every day of the week, but it's no wonder u find it at somerset mall. think of the people that shop there. i've been there to eat a few times, but not because it is the greatest "chinese" food. i'm 100% chinese and anyone who knows AUTHENTIC chinese food would laugh at anyone that considered PF Changs offerin... read more
So American – After hearing all my friends gush about the great food, I had to try P.F Chang's. Wow...what were they thinking? This is not Chinese food. The dishes are more Americanized than your local Chinese take-out place. The high prices did not gaurantee quality and taste. Yet, the dim and well decorated environment makes this place perfect for a date.
