I was a customer for a number of years, they had good service, but as others here have stated, the billing practices are not transparent and often deceptive. They would add plans and charges that were more than had been descibed. I asked to be removed from service plans - they kept charging me for them. They would state one rate for fuel and then charge me exorbinantly more (which due to autopay I didn't notice right away). I finally had to cancel and then things got even worse. The oil service is great. So thats where the only star comes from. Propane is a joke. But im locked in for the past 2 months and have had 0 deliveries. The first delivery the tech who had "worked" in the industry for 20+ years told us he was unable to fill our unit as it was too close to the house. He showed us a regulation. Also indicated our generator regulator needed a vent installed, which made sense. He also state they never serviced this house before. UPDATE: After posting this review, Petro reached out directly, apologized, and offered us two years of their premium service plan at no cost. While our original experience was unacceptable, I do appreciate that they took responsibility and made an effort to make things right. I’m therefore updating this to three stars. Depending on how things go from here, I’ll update again to reflect our ongoing experience.

Petro is the worst company ever they used to be the best and cared about their customers. We have been out of oil and they don’t care they were supposed to deliver yesterday but only brought 10 gallons. It’s didn’t last 12 hours. They were going to bring 10 more today which wouldn’t have lasted 12 hours. Don’t use this company. They are the worst. My mother has been with them for 50 years and they don’t care there’s no loyalty nothing this is the third time we ran out of oil since they were bought over.

This is a company making money by unfairly charging customers with no price transparency. With market pricing of ~$3 per gallon for heating oil, i am being charged for $5 per gallon for a delivery of around 240 gallon.
