stumbled here accidentally one day after my SSN appointment. best food that has graced my insides. I think i've gotten it once a week every since. Whenever i am away from Madison, I am still thinking about Petra's chicken saj shawarma.
I went on a Saturday evening. It wasn't too crowded, the wait staff were friendly and the restaurant has a cozy, family owned restaurant. My friend and I got the chicken shawarma with fries and extra sauce, sambousas, and baklava. The chicken shawarma was filled perfectly to the brim with chicken and veggies that were coated perfectly with the garlic sauce. The food was incredible with just the right amount of seasoning and filling-to-pita ratio! Everything was so freshly made, the staff was so kind and patient with explanations, and the proportions of food were well worth the price! Please go here, they're amazing!
After living 14 years in the Middle East, I had a hankering for some middle eastern food. Located in a crowded shopping center the unassuming cafe. Tables and booths on the interior and a high top bar. It has so many hard surfaces it's a wee bit loud. Good choices of vegetarian items as meat items( no pork) I had falafel sandwich, tasty . Service was attentive and friendly.
