Pete's Cycle was founded by Walter C. Leach Sr., nickname Pete, hence the name Pete's Cycle, in 1938 out of his parent's basement on Harford Road in Baltimore. He started out repairing bicycles and building flower boxes. Remember this was during the depression.Pete went off to WWII, while away his father ran the business. store was open for only 40 min and was told they couldn't do an oil change. odd for a business to open but not service your bike,

I was ready to buy a bike with cash in hand. Send an email for a quote on a bike they have in stock to a salesguy who showed us the bike a few days prior. three business days and we are still waiting for a quote! Pete's on Bel air Rd. in Nottingham quoted us a price with twice the mark-up other dealers did in PA.
Better sales approaches, friendlier staff, selling more variety of brands and not favoring the most expensive brands

I called tonight around 5:20 to ask if I could drop my father in laws 4 wheeler off to be worked on. The guy said he's closing soon. I said I'm already on my way. Get there and first he tells me if it's too old they don't work on them. (it was bought there and he hadn't even seen what it was) then it's well if it's the transmission I can't work on it until January. What about the baltimore shop. No they're worse off them me.
