Dr. Peterson is a good doctor. I have been going to him for several years, and I really like him. He listens and cares what I say. He also doesn’t over medicate, and I appreciate his cautious approach. However, the system he works in is badly broken. I often wait more than an hour to see him. I am usually on hold for at least 20-30 minutes whenever I call the office, and then I usually can only leave a voicemail. I am a previous patient. Recently in 2022 my in insurance had changed . I called the office to come back. For theme last Year and a half I have been trying to get an appointment. His office REFUSES to provide me an appointment. Because his name is not on my card. I contacted the insurance company several and the Doctors office THE DR OFFICE DOES NOT LET ME PROVIDE THEM WHAT INSURANCE HAS TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THEY REUSE. Dr. Petersen is great, listens well, very knowledgable and works with you. I am staying with him for that reason. Office experience: for the past 2 years, every time I have dealt with them, it has been very difficult. Here are a couple examples. We moved to the area and I was symptomatic with heart issues. Since I was a new patient it took 6-8 weeks to get in with him. He said we need to get you in with a cardiologist on an ASAP referral. Four months later I still hadn't heard from anyone. Thankfully, I had less waiting time than my last appointment. He took plenty of time to review lab work, while listening and providing helpful information.
Pam was who checked me in today. She was VERY unfriendly. She made me feel like she hated her job. As a new patient, I did not feel welcome at all. After filling out the required paperwork, I dreaded going behind the locked door to the next set of people I would meet. My name was called exactly 24 minutes after my appointment time. I appreciate the way Dr. P. gives me options in treatment and allows me to decide how to proceed. He is a good listener and communicator.
I did not have to wait long and Dr. Petersen took his time with me. He explained everything in terms that I could understand.

I absolutely love my Dr!! Every time I have a doctors visit with Dr. Peterson he is so personable and he sits down and actually takes time to talk with you and doesn’t treat you like a number! He has the best chair side manner and it’s so likable and listens when you ask him questions and doesn’t just spout off information that you don’t understand
