I saw Dr Stein today for basil joint osteoarthritis in my thumb. He explained everything in layman terms and took his time considering there were many people waiting to see him. He didn’t think the cortisone shot would work but it was worth a try. He further explained the pros and cons of surgery. It was a pleasure to meet a doctor like he is. Not many left from the old school.
The best hand surgeon and doctor! Dr Stein took great care of my son’s broken finger and always takes care of me! ( I am injury prone) I have complete trust in Dr Peter Stein! Wonderful office, short wait, all questions answered and I never feel rushed! Best doctor!
Dr Stein operated on my hand 20 years ago. I have seen him numerous times over the years for various problems. He is as nice,kind and wonderful now as he was long ago. If you need a hand doctor who knows what he is doing and treats you with compassion then he is the doctor to see.
I was a patient who called the office early in the morning. I was given an appointment that day, see, at the time of the appointment. The doctor had x rays taken and gave me a glove like device for my break. He was professional, concerned, caring.
I went to Dr. Stein for a second opinion on a bone tumor on the knuckle on my hand. It had been diagnosed many years ago as benign, but t previous doctor had jumped to the conclusion to have it surgically removed anyway just because. I am SO happy I came to see Dr. Stein as he gave me a personal option as to if it were his hand, he would not, as it would be unnecessary as it was still benign, unlikely to turn, as long it didn't bother me, and that removing it would make my hand weaker.
Extremely competent doctor and surgeon. Diagnosed my condition and performed the surgery. I'm now 100% healed and cured. Can't say enough about Dr. Stein -- a real gem!
Highest recommendation. Went to Dr.Stein again today for very painful wrist tendonitis. His staff got me an appointment on same day. He explained in easy terminology the results of the x-ray. He placed an injection directly into the affected area. Within a couple of hours I felt dramatic relief. He also took time to joke around with my 7 year old Son. He is warm, patient, and extremely likable. Couldn't imagine a better doctor in his specialty.
Great doctor. I saw another hand and wrist surgeon before Dr. Stein about my injured left index finger and was treated like a second rate citizen because I did not have a fracture or require surgery. Dr. Stein showed genuine interest in my case and recommended physical therapy which has helped tremendously. He is kind, caring and gets right to the point. This is the type of doctor everyone would like to have, but seldom finds....One who sees a patient as a human being and not just a number!
