Outstanding. After two local ENT’s failed to properly diagnose my hearing issue, it was Dr. Dixon who discovered I had retracted eardrums and was slowly losing my hearing. Had I done nothing, I could’ve eventually lost my ability to hear. He reconstructed my right eardrum in Augusta 2024 and will do the left ear this spring. I am forever grateful for his medical skills and talents. Plus, he’s a really nice man who listened and understood my concerns and explained everything in easy to comprehend language.
Dr. Dixon was absolutely wonderful to my daughter and myself. I've been overwhelmed over the past two years seeing my daughter deal with hearing sensitivities that have been progressively getting worse and dealing with no clear answers from other practioners. Sometimes it felt as though she was being dismissed and her pain was being made up, despite her adverse functioning in daily life. My child went to see Dr Dixon for moderate hearing loss in one ear. Dr Dixon dismissed my child’s response during the exam. He tested my child’s bone vs air sound conduction using a tuning fork (Rinne test). First, he tested the wrong ear and said, “see? It’s normal”. I gently told him, that was the wrong ear. Dr Dixon then checked the ear in question.
