I was staying in Florida for a few months when I noticed a bump on my chest that quickly turned red. My doctor back home recommended I get it checked out by a Dermatologist here in FL, knowing my health care insurance did not cover any procedure out of state (MassHealth) What a joke… I contacted Dr Bendetson and made an appointment anyways knowing I would pay out of pocket. Dr. Bendetson really cares about his patients and goes over and beyond to help them.
My daughter likes very few doctors but she absolutely loves Dr. Bendetson. He is always pleasant and actually listens to what you have to say. He will work with you to come up with a plan of action for whatever issues you are having. He makes sure we know exactly what to expect from any pill or cream he prescribes. He doesn't just write a script and send you on your way. He is the most knowledgeable and caring doctor I have ever found. And as a bonus, I have never had to wait long to be seen.
A great doctor, very competent, honest, fair prices, they don't make him like him any more, refreshing. Unfortunately in FL dermatology has become a very lucrative profession. I learned the hard way and would not see any other dermatologist other than Dr. Bendetson. Be cautious with dermatologists with big offices and staffs who want to do many biopsies particularly if you do not have melanomas or skin cancer in your family.
He is very pleasant and takes the time to talk to you about your health issue. His staff is friendly and courteous. I would recommend Dr. Bendetson to anyone seeking the care of a dermatologist.
