Dr. Chiang performed left and right hip replacement for my husband and right knee replacement for me. There is no other doctor I would trust for joint replacement. He's professional, courteous, knowledge, cautious, thorough and focused. He's a no nonsense doctor, and he directly and clearly communicates any and all pertinent information. And he never takes risks. Patient care and well-being are his top priorities which I believe directly contributes to his stellar performance record. To put it simply, he's the best!!!
When seeking an orthopedic surgeon for a double total hip replacement, I learned from friends and KP staff that Dr. Peter Chiang was highly recommended . In preparation for my two hip replacement surgeries, I maintained my high level of physical fitness and religiously performed the pre-op home exercises. Was really hoping for some help from Dr. Chiang since he was able to help 2 family members. He made me feel he had better things to do and offered no advise on what I could do to help ease my pain except for a shot or a surgery that apparently is not successful, he did all he could to discourage me. I would not recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Chiang is an awesome surgeon! My mother, 97, was suffering debilitating hip pain due to 30-year-old, failing hip hardware. Dr. Chiang discussed with us the possibility of surgical repairs and associated risks. We decided to go forward, and this summer Dr. Chiang performed two surgeries to make needed hardware repairs in each hip. Some parts were no longer available, but Dr. Chiang was able to improvise and each outcome was amazing! Dr. Chiang did my right hip replacement in Dec 2022 and my Left in April of 2023. I wake up every day in awe that after over 10 years, I am able to move again completely pain free. I can get on my bike again, work out my legs, Climb ladders again and even things as simple as bending down to pick up something that dropped on the ground I can now do again without even thinking about.
