I may have prostate cancer. I waited 6 months to get in to see this doctor because he was the only urologist close to me. After initial evaluation and an MRI, I was scheduled for a surgical biopsy. Three weeks before, I receive a call that they can't do it because of an 'emergency' but they wouldn't give me any explanation. I was forced to schedule an appointment with a new doctor in Tucson for February 2026! It will be more than a year since my internist referred me to Dr. Niemczyk. He is competent but overwhelmed. He has a friendly NP Governor but the NP cancelled my appointment at least 4 times with little warning at all. When I took an airplane to get an appointment and told them so, he cancelled again and set up a telephonic doctor appointment. I sat at the telephonic appointment online for 30 minutes and Governor never arrived. He explained everything and all the options I had. I went ahead and took another appointment and he solved my issues. He was never impatient, rude or nasty, and he cares for his patients. He is very overworked, and if you feel you don't want to wait in his waiting room, I suggest you find another urologist, but he is the best in Arizona.....i would not go to anyone else in Sierra vista or Tucson, or any other urologist in Arizona!
Showed up 10 minutes early and sat and waited until they were 40 minutes late. I then decided to go to the window and cancel appointment and they could care less. Just in there chatting away when one of them could have shown some maturity and called me to the window and advised me that they were running an hour late. I could then decide if I wanted to stay or reschedule but NOOOOOOOOO that would mean they might not get to whack my insurance. Dr. Niemczyk has been my urologyst for four months. In that time, I have visited his office a number of times for tests and assessments of prostate issues. Most recently, Dr. Niemczyk performed surgery installing (?) a urolyft. I have left every single encounter with Dr. Niemczyk feeling comfortable and certain that I am receiving expert care. He is impatient, rude, acts like he has more important things to do and that you are a burden to his day.
Only urologist in the area and it's clear he could care less. Everyone I know remarks on the unending wait times. Might be worth it if I felt cared for. Shame on this guy.
I have been seeing Dr Nim check for various issues ranging from kidney stones, prolapsed, revisions from botched surgeries with a mesh and a sling. Every time I went to see Dr Nimczyk and his nurse Ruth have been very professional caring and understanding. Not only is the office is very clean and inviting they really care about their patients and it shows because they will take any measures to make sure that you're okay and you completely understand what the treatment plan is. I highly recommend this clinic. Thank you CL
The office and scheduling is very unprofessional. I had a scheduled appointment and received an email that they rescheduled my appointment, without talking to me, to a time that would not work. Their reason for changing the appointment is their scheduling software, which their staff apparently does not like. But I find it very unprofessional for a office or doctor to not live up to their commitment. I say find a different doctor who will follow through and abide by their word.
