I can’t say enough good about the care I was given from the time I went to emergency. Everyone from the triage nurse to the nurses to the person doing my ct scan to the porters. So very caring! And this place is like a zoo!! Thank you to all! ❤

By far one of the worst hospitals I’ve ever been to in my life, the emergency room looks like a death grave, people wait hours to even get any information and if you even get up and talk they kick you out, there are probably better UN medical huts in Sub-Sahara Africa than this hospital one of the worst by far.

I arrived at the hospital on September 4th. I completed the first part of the intake right at 4:00. I waited until 11:00 PM to get my lab work and CT scan done and to see the surgeon. At 5:00 my appendix ruptured, and I was operated on at 8:10. I was sent home around 5:00 PM the following day. The service was extremely poor; the emergency room is a waiting room of death and nobody pays any attention to you. My experience at Peter Lougheed Centre’s Emergency Department was extremely frustrating. The wait time could be around 5 hours, which is very difficult when you are already dealing with a medical emergency and are in pain or worried about your condition. I understand that emergency departments prioritize patients based on how serious their condition is, and AHS says the posted wait times are estimates.
