Had my old oak floors refinished and they look like a completely different room now. The color is rich, even, and no weird streaks anywhere. A friend in park ridge had mentioned Gasinski to me a while back. Took them three days start to finish and the dust was very minimal

The hardwood in our front hallway had started cupping pretty noticeably. A few boards were lifting at the edges and you could feel it when you walked through barefoot. We weren't sure if it was a moisture thing or what but it looked bad and was getting worse. Got a few quotes from companies near Niles and Gasinski was the one that actually explained what was going on and what they'd need to do. Gasinski refinished the hardwood floors in our living room and two bedrooms. The floors were original to the house, probably 40 years old, and they still had decent bones but the finish was completely shot. Dull, scratched up, a few water stains near the windows. Had some pretty noticeable damage on the hardwood in our dining room. couple boards were warped and there was discoloration spreading from where a planter had been sitting for years without a tray under it. looked bad. talked to Gasinski about options and they said they could replace the damaged boards and refinish the whole room so everything matched. the replacement boards blended in really well which was my biggest concern going into it. you cant tell where the old floor ends and the new boards start. the refinishing even... read more
