I recently had a spine desk removal surgery with Dr. Peter Derman, and the experience was excellent. He clearly explained the procedure, which made me confident. His professionalism and care stood out throw-out. My recovery has gone excellent just as he said. I am already feeling much better. The hospital staff was very supportive and friendly, making everything smoother. I highly recommend Dr. Derman for anyone considering spine surgery.

My story is I have suffered from lower back issues for 30 yrs. I was told by 5 different surgeons in 3 States my only solution was spinal fusion, a microdiscectomy was not an option as my L4 and l5 were completely shot. Over the 30 years I relied on steroid injections to solve my pain issues. For the most part they worked well and would last for a few years. I reached out to Dr Derman after consulting multiple Spine Surgeons for my stenosis over 1.5 years. I was not convinced that an open back surgery was my only option. My husband needed back surgery due to severe sciatica caused by spinal stenosis and damaged discs. The decision to have back surgery is usually a last resort and we were very nervous about it. Dr. Derman is an amazing doctor. I was in extreme pain before my surgery caused by a herniated disc pressing against my sciatic nerve. After surgery, pain was gone right away. My recovery was easy, no big incision, walking around and sleeping uninterrupted the first day. I would recommend Dr. Derman for anyone experiencing back or leg pain due to back issues.
