Dr. Gharib was especially informative, patient, and had excellent bedside manner during my root canal. He called me the next day to make sure I was doing ok, which is a rare thing nowadays. I would definitely recommend going to him as I was referred to him by my dentist.
I love getting root canals! Seriously... Dr. Pete recently redid an old root canal that had failed due to a bad crown. I originally went to another endodontist in the San Diego area, and he was fine, but tracked down Dr. Pete in Irvine and made the drive given my previous experience. Yes - two appointments in Irvine, a 45 minute to 1 hour drive, versus a 15 minute drive to my local endo...and it was 100% worth it! Dr. Cancellier did my root canal last December. Dr. Cancellier gave me a follow-up visit free of charge to ensure the root canal was all good and all was great. No one referred me to Dr. Cancellier or recommended me. I just look online and read his reviews and his background and what he offers and decided to select him. I had my concerns as anyone would when you know nothing about the Dr. and the clinic. However, I went for it anyway. 10/20/2015 I was recently referred to Dr. Cancellier for what appeared to be a routine root canal. As I expected, I suffered some anxiety in anticipation. Dr. Cancellier could see I was nervous and quickly put me at ease with a detailed explanation of the procedure, complete with pictures. I live in Texas and was working in Irvine when I developed an abscess; I was advised not to fly home with this condition, but have it attended to in Irvine. Not knowing anyone here, I was extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Cancellier. He and his staff treated me as if I had been a patient for 15 years. For an unpleasant situation, the staff and Dr. Cancellier make it as pleasant as possible! Very punctual, thorough with procedure explanation and cost, and Dr. Cancellier's sense of humor and music selection are a nice touch!

Staff is always courteous and helpful. They automatically schedule follow ups and contact me with email reminder. What I considered to have been major surgery went smoothly, no pain later. Would highly recommend Dr. Cancellier . (Plus his sense of humor is appreciated).
