While it’s always a wait at this clinic, Dr Chioros is absolutely worth it. He’s a straight shooter with such wisdom and knowledge and a very low-key engaging humor. I’m grateful that he was able to synthesize a lot of past examples notes and identify the likely source of my foot pain. I’ll get the orthotics he prescribed and cross my fingers
Dr. Chioros is a renowned orthopedic specialist. My experience with other podiatrists was more focused on generic solutions and a pretext approach without listening to the patient's needs. With that said, I'm not a doctor, but I will surely do my research and education myself to the best of my abilities to EXPLAIN exactly what's going on with my body. Disgusting wait times every time. 30 mins after appointment before being put in a room. Told it’ll be a few minutes once in room, 20 mins go by without a word. Unfortunately I had to leave without addressing the pain that brought me in. Instead of offering to reschedule, the staff told me to have a great day after I explained that I had to leave. Unbelievable experience.
I saw Dr. Chioros on 6/7/24. He had a great bedside manner and asked me a lot of questions. I really liked him as a doctor and felt really comfortable. He said he would write me a prescription for a pain medication, and custom orthotics. He gave me a referral to get a night splint, and a list of clinics that could fit me for the night splint. I went it and he “referred” me to get orthotics for sesamoiditis in my foot.. I am unable to get the orthotics made because I never received an actual referral and I have HMO. Neither him or his office staff will respond to my messages on NorthShore connect and I am not sure what else to do at this point. This has been a complete disaster.
