As a successful massage therapist myself, I can attest to the fact that Peter Black is one of a kind. He is versatile, listens to feed back, lets me boss him around (haha) and has a flexible, kind personality. If we happen to talk during the session (usually initiated by me) he is happy to engage and always makes me laugh! He has affordable rates as well. Highly recommend!
Peter is an excellent massage therapist. You can feel the experience of 34 years of practice in his hands. He knows how to communicate, allowing you to feel safe and accommodated in pressure preferences. I prefer stronger pressure which was no problem for him! His office was also spacious, clean, and conveniently located!
I highly recommend Peter. His skill and intuitive listening to my body always results in a healing experience. I wish I could afford seeing him regularly just for maintenance, but he is always my go-to if my body is complaining with overuse, or if I’ve injured myself. I know a session with him will do me Very well, and get me well on my way to recovery. A year long struggle with neck pain was resolved in just two sessions. I’m grateful to have found him.
I've been to many LMTs in the past 20 years due to chronic back issues, and Peter is in a league of his own. He can sustain high pressure throughout a 90 min massage, but also can do a gentler massage to suit each client's needs. He's a great communicator and creates a safe, relaxing environment. The location is convenient for parking (usually lot space available and street parking is manageable). Highly recommend for anyone looking for a therapeutic and relaxing massage!
I've been going to Peter for a massage regularly for approximately a year due to lower back problems. I have gotten massages at fancy spas, 5-star hotels, PT clinics and "not so fancy places.” I can say Peter's massages has helped and if I can't schedule a massage for whatever reason, I feel the consequences and I need to get "back on track." He's professional, sincere, caring and very knowledgeable. Also, I appreciate an hour massage is really an hour (not 45-50 mins everywhere else).
