A shout out to the Thoracic Surgical unit, I received excellent and compassionate care from everyone I encountered. As a former community hospital OR nurse of 40 yrs, I was impressed by the attention and expertise that everyone expressed. It gave me hope for the future of nursing! Thanks to all and don't lose the spark that as a patient I enjoyed seeing.
This hospital was fantastic. My step dad needed open heart surgery so he stayed in the Shapiro center. We were all treated wonderfully. The staff was very accommodating. The doctors and nurses explained everything in a effective manner. I would recommend this hospital to anyone I know.
The people that work there are both professional and caring. This includes everyone I came in contact with. They kept my family updated so they knew what was happening. The care I received was top-notched! The facility is amazing. I was in the Shapiro Cardiovascular Center. The rooms are clean and bright. There was a sleeper sofa in my room, where my husband stayed so he didn't need to drive home to come back the next day. He was made to feel welcomed there. I feel they do everything right!
Dr. Tom Mina's is an exceptional doctor. The staff st BWH have all been fantastic and supportive if you have to have surgery it should be st BWH
