My Ole Lady Kathryn ,gave to me a gift of a 63 panhead . She came down with cancer .untreatable . stage three 36% survival rate . After being ripped off at another shop .I carried my Engine and trans to Pete Hill and I found a pot of gold at the end of my nightmare . when I lived in GREENVILLE in the 90s I bought all of my parts from Pete and Jackie.Pete done all my machine work balancing bottom ends and doing my heads; If pete done a bottom end you can put your engine togther and ride,He does great work a reasonable prices.They are good people and Pete has a lifetime of knowlege and if he tells you something about a Harley you can bank on it.
I am reading your book Jackie Hill about Pete Hill. Yes it is amazing, I am at the end trading the little tidbits and enjoying them. I just turned to the last page and there is a grease smudge. Once you get over the fact that you're standing with true legends, You realize they're actually some of the nicest people in the motorcycle business. Pete Jackie and Tommy are all old school breed of Harley racers ,riders and fans, I've thought they HD oil pumping through their veins. I know Pete can build a knucklehead in his sleep. You don't need a reason to stop at Pete Hill shop just walk in and say hello, Buy yourself a copy of Pete's new book he might even sign it for you — at Pete Hill Motorcycles.
I had my bike there back in the late 90’s and the work done on it was grade A”. They are nothing but excellent and they do great work. I had a 76 shovel and not many people knows about them. They are a class act.
