This store is a joke. Had a grooming appointment today at 4:30. Showed up to the store and the doors were locked. Waited a few minutes, more customers showed up as they also had appointments. No one would answer the phone. Eventually a vet tech from the clinic came out and told us all the store was closed. No sign, no communication, no nothing. Super unprofessional. We understand things happen but they couldn’t even put up a sign on the door. Wasted a lot of people’s time. Won’t go back.

Doing an amazing job today with virus precautions. Limiting customers, cleaning carts, sterilizing registers after each use. Couldn’t of felt better there and the staff was all extremely pleasant.

I have taken my puppy to their training program from puppy 1, 2 Canine Good Citizen which we passed. Continue training for adult 1,2 , trained for Canine Good Citizens Community Dog took the test and Passed!!! While waiting for our certificate we were told that the Manager didn’t have any for us !!! We worked Very Hard towards this only to be told they don’t have it. They scammed us into signing up for this and now we have Nothing to prove all our hard work!!

I had the worst experience with Petco at Sanford. The manager gave me 3 dwarf hamsters and was for sure that those 3 hamsters were females. Weeks later I ended up with 20 baby hamsters and found out that one of those 3 hamsters that he gave me was a male. I’m just really disappointed because a person like me that had no experience with hamsters before have to go through all of this especially not warning me that one of the 3 hamsters he gave me was pregnant. Today i went to the local petco and i was very disappointed, i went to buy worms for my gecko and in each of the containers i opened over half of the worms were black and dead and the tank for geckos is very overcrowded.

Associates are very helpful if you need it. The clearance selection is really good as well. If you need help in aquatics there is a really nice guy that was over there when I went in. Fish and animals all look healthy and the reptiles were active. Great store overall.
