Slightly higher in price but a very clean and well stocked store I like this store. It is clean and organized, very seldom are there boxes in the aisles. They have a good selection and I can get all my pet supplies in one stop. Cat, dog, bird, rodent and fish.
More expensive than most If you want to spend more on animal supplies than at Petsmart go here. They do have a groomer on premises that cut the quick on my dogs nails on three nails before I told them I could trim better than they could. On the plus side they are pretty easy going about taking things back, and are very nice about dogs in the store and hold vaccination clinics on the weekends. Good dog grooming place My dog was rescued. He is very afraid of the strangers. Every time when we took him there to get his nails cut, he struggles a lot. The ladies in the grooming department were always very patient with him. They did the job very quickly and neatly. So my dog wont suffer that much. I am happy that we found the good grooming place for my dog.
good self service dog wash I was born in Iowa and though my family isn't a farming family, we definitely had what I would characterize as a farmer's sensibility about animals--respectful, practical, utilitarian. With such an upbringing, it boggles the mind that my relationship with my dog (Daisy) has evolved to it's current state. She's a great dog (a mutt, the best kind in my opinion) and she's wonderful with my children, but the level of pampering is pretty rediculous. It's okay Petco is overpriced compared to Pet Club (which is near Costco in Mountain View) and other pet stores. However, it has a lot of pet supplies and you can find practically anything. This particular Petco store isn't in a very good location and the store is smaller than most Petco's.
Poodle mom Brought my 2 standard poodles in to see if they could fix what another place had done. Needless to say, they did a great job! My poodles looked like they were ready for the show ring. I will definitely be going there from now on!
Pets are their friends You've got to love a place that allows pets! They have a huge selection of foods, toys, and accessories for whatever pet strikes your fancy. The staff is always ready to answer your questions with a smile.
Tail clipped off! About a month ago I followed a friends advice and brought my Pomeranian in to Debbie to be groomed. We ended up picking him up from the Steamboat Island Animal Hospital because she cut the tip of his tail off during grooming. She lied saying it was only a tiny piece. The vet tech got the piece out of the trash and it was a half inch! He ended up having surgery to have it fixed. This was very traumatic to the little guy. New Mangement I went into Petco to get my dog groomed. I heard they are under new management and I thought I would give them a try. Robin was outstanding!!!! He really listened to what I had to say and when he was done, I was so pleased. I will go back
