Petaluma Market was purchased in 1987 by James and Maureen Agius. In the years since, Petaluma Market has made an effort to put equal emphasis on providing customers with quality gourmet food while maintaining a strong foothold in Petaluma's community (where James was born and raised).

Petaluma Market My family shops at Petaluma Market every week. We love the location and customer service. They have a good wine selection too. They can be a bit on the expensive side compared to big chains, but it is worth it. Not to long ago they were out of a seasoning I wanted to buy, so they gave me some of a like seasoning from their own supply in back. Talk about treating you right! Dinner turned out great.
Old town style shopping If I just need to run in to a store for one or two quick items, Petaluma Market is great. I don't have to drive all the way across town. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Petaluma Market Great local grocery store, with excellent customer service. The smell of the BBQ pulls me in every time I'm driving by! Great ribs (and I am not usually a rib fan!) Prices on some items can be high.
Disappointingly Un-Local Fare Very disappointing after reading all the 5 star reviews! I expected more fresh local and organic offerings - but it's more of a miniature Ralphs or Vons, with very narrow aisles and limited selection - than it is a smaller version of a Whole Foods or Jimbos. The self serve hot case had some pretty dried out looking corned beef and cabbage. I expected more local artisan fare - it is Sonoma County after all - but after walking up & down the aisles and finding more procter & gamble than Sonoma fare... read more
One stop shop! This market is one of Petalumas finest. It has many specialty items, including a full butcher section, a great deli, and many wines to choose from. My favorite section is the beer and soda section which has many that you cannot find anywhere else. They have a hot food section that they change from breakfast to lunch, to dinner. Excellent place to shop, although their prices are a bit more than chain stores.
I love going to Petaluma Market! I can just run in grab something for dinner or lunch from their kitchen or the BBQ! The food is great! You can find all kinds of speciality items, including fine wines, cheeses, and their organic and vegetarian selection of foods is great.Their prices are a little high so I watch for their sales ad that comes out on Wednesday.
Great local market Love to drop in here and pick up food for dinner - usually I can find most everything I want, the employees are very nice. Prices could be lower but can't beat the convenience.
