Thank you so much Orion!! I broke down in front of the shop and he came out to see if everything was okay. It is very hard to find a person with such knowledge about European cars. Thanks to him I was able to get back on the road that very same night. He was incredibly kind and helpful!!
If you own or are considering to own a vintage Datsun.. and it's a Z (240/260/280)... LOOK NO FURTHER!!! These guys, Bernard & Jay, know how to repair Vintage Datsuns (and any ICE vehicle you bring to them). They have been working these vehicles for nearly 20 years and understand what should be fixed to get these classic vehicles operating. Be respectful of scheduling time in advance. They are probably the BEST Z shop in the Bay Area.
My car was serviced on 10/8/24. Diagnosis was thorough and honest. Service done to brakes was complete and solved the issue. Price was fair.
These guys took me in in an emergency repair and did a fantastic job, not just with timing, and their workmanship, but also their customer service and taking time to explain the work they did and what happened, what was necessary to fix, and the charge. Highly recommend!
I won't go anywhere else now. I made the mistake of going to Local Heroes for a while and paid for it dearly with the highest prices I've ever seen. These guys at Petaluma Auto Works are extremely fair with thier pricing and they get to the issues quickly. Cannot recommend enough. Will be bringing all of my fleet and personal vehicles here from now on. A+
