AWFUL conditions for pets I visited Pet Kingdom while on vacation, and yes, the dogs are adorable, BUT the conditions they live in are HORRIBLE. I had stopped at another pet store on the way (I miss my dog so I wanted to go play with some!), and while I would never buy from a pet store, at least the dogs in this store were clean. At Pet Kingdom, I petted and played with some poodles whose coats were matted, and they had poop stuck in them. The BEST The BEST....... I love this place. I travel down to Ft. Myers a couple times a year and always stop by Pet Kingdom. This time it was a big WOW, it looks like a tropical rain forest. The place looks incredible . They have done such a nice job remodeling
The good, the bad, the monkey This is one of those pet stores that's hard to rate. One one hand their selection of animals is easily the best in the Ft. Myers area. Not only the staple cats and dogs at Pet Kingdom, but also rabbits, ferrets, hedgehogs, birds, tons of fish, and some more exotic pets that aren't for sale. Pet Kingdom is a lot of fun just to walk around and check out all the pets.
I Love Pet Kingdom and My Dogs! This is a great store. I visit it weekly and have for years. Sometimes the staff is very busy but that just shows how busy the store stays because it's so liked by so many. If someone wants a top of the line dog then they should go to a private breeder and pay thousands, not hundreds. However since most people can not afford and would not think of ever spending that much on a dog then settle for what you paying for. We're lucky to have a Pet Store Like This Wow! Thats what you say as you open the front door of this place! You have monkeys to the left, kinkajous to the right, and a 4 ft water fall in front of you. All three things just when you walk in. They have a great selection of puppies and birds too. Not only do they have the animals they have all the supplies to care for them so that you don't have to go anywhere else. As a certified "Pet Shop Junkie" i spend my off time in most of the shops in the area , checking out the latest critter arrivals and of course sometimes a new lizard or fish makes its way home with me. anyways, Pet Kingdom has always been my favorite because of all the types of animals you are going to see and they went from the coolest pet shop in the area to the coolest shop anywhere ive ever been .
