We have been dining at least weekly at the Hwy 55 Boone Ave Perkins for the past 3 years. The atmosphere evolved into a Cheers like - "everyone knows your name". We have generally had great service and good food. Pete & Diana
This is the BEST place for families for a Saturday morning brunch!!!
I went to order a Potato Flip with ham at this location like I have several times before. When I asked for ham instead of bacon the waitress told me she would have to ask the manager. The waitress then came back and said no! The manager said I would have to get a hole ham steak to get the potato flip with ham instead of bacon. What I don't understand is my husband ordered a granny's omelet like ... he has several times before and has not been told that he has to order a hole ham steak with his meal, further more I ended up o... read more
Prices Need a Reality Check – OK....so the food and service are awesome...but oh those prices...:( A short stack - that's 3 folks - of standard pancakes - will run you about 5 and half dollars and an eggs benedict about 11 or 12. Smarter breakfast fans will wait til' morning and head for a Burger King or McDonald's.
This Perkins location is closed. – This restaurant has closed. The Cupboard Restaurant is currently in this location. Fabulous country cooking.
Cheap Orange Juice – The orange juice at this location tasted like TANG or some sort of cheap powdered mix of Kroger OJ. If you are paying $2.00 a glass which is over 100% markup, one would think you could at least get something that even resembles Minutemaid. Before you order this, I suggest asking for a sample and if you don't like it, complain about it. I made the mistake of trying to gulp down some sips and ended up having to pay for that stuff.

The Magnificent Seven is a great value – This restaurant is a tradition every time the kids spend the weekend with Grandma. Our family goes to Perkins regularly, and on occasions when I don't feel like cooking we come to Perkins for a good home cooked meal. You can get breakfast anytime of the day. They have an awesome kids menu. The kids always get a free cookie with their meal. I think that this establishment serves the best pancakes in Lake County. Not too bad. – The food is good quality, comes to you rather fast. I would avoid the burgers and or fries, both seem a bit skimpy and too soggy. I am a big fan of the chef bread bowl salad.
