This was our first time there and we had high expectations for some reasons. The food is not authentic Korean (despite employees claim). They don’t serve rice as part of the premium set - which included pathetically small portions of okay meat and banchan. Also, they seemed understaffed - the manager lady was functioning as a receptionist and waitress. Net/net, they tried to mimic Korean restaurants in K-town in LA or NYC (as I speculated) - but fabulously failed and food here is just an insult to Korean cuisine. Not coming ... read more
We visited a few months ago and all I can say is WOW!! That was some of the best steak we’ve ever had!! The kimchi rice was excellent, as were all the meats! Such a great meal and experience, and I hope we get to visit again on a future trip to Chicago! We used our Sapphire Reserve credits there, and had no issues at all! 10/10 experience!
Very disappointing. The side dishes (japche and pa muchim , bak kimchi)were way too salty, and the pork in the kimchi stew had a strong, unpleasant smell. The quality of the steak wasn't bad, but the side dishes were disappointing : the quality of the banchan was so poor that it was actually embarrassing as a Korean. Terrible quality control for this price range. Absolutely not recommended.
We ordered premium meat, kimchi fried rice, and steamed egg. Nothing was really spot on. Kimchi fried rice was the worst to me. Meat was not good. Staffs grilling your meat do not optimize their pace and they dumped almost everything together to your plate in the end so I became to think what the point of this service is. Will I come back? No.
